Marie Pigg Real Estate, Since 1936 

The Marie Pigg Building (above) was dedicated on July 19, 2002.

    Marie Pigg started her career in the Real Estate Industry back in 1936.  She worked for one company, Real Estate Exchange, from that time until May, 1969 when she opened 1401 S.E. Parkway in the name of Marie Pigg Real Estate.  Marie passed away in her sleep on August 3, 1995 after a long and dedicated career in Real Estate, which spanned 50 years.

    In the 1940's, the original office at 1401 S.E. Parkway sat at the junction where Highway 199 and Shoreline Dr. intersect now.  The office actually sat on the land that the (new) Highway 199 was to be built.  So the office had to be picked up and moved to it's current location, which is next to the current service road at S.E. Parkway & Shoreline Dr.

    Marie not only sold real estate but built homes also.  After locating at 1401 S.E. Parkway, she built custom homes at various locations in the City of Azle.  More than 200 homes were constructed; mainly in the Timberlake's Addition and Eagle Mountain View Addition.

    Elise Pigg, wife of Marie's son, Billy Pigg, went to work for Marie when 1401 S.E. Parkway opened in 1969.  After Marie's passing, Billy & Elise Pigg determined to continue in Marie's footsteps and kept the business open.  Since that time, the new Marie Pigg Building (above) was dedicated on July 19, 2002.

    Billy & Elise have adopted the motto, "People may forget how fast you did a job, but they always remember how well you did it."  This motto has helped to build a successful reputation over the years in the Real Estate Industry from both clients/customers and competitors alike.
